I have stayed here before and will probably stay again when visiting NYC. It is a drive up style motel and the rooms have everything I need as a single traveller plus only $25-30 for an Uber to and from Newark Airport. Comfortable bed, big bathroom with great water pressure and hot water. The room also has decent free wifi and a safe, fridge, microwave, lots of outlets, iron, hairdryer etc, etc. The big selling point here is the value for money and the ease of getting into Manhattan. A room of this size and facilities in Manhattan costs at least 3x more than the Super 8. Getting to Manhattan is easy, you simply stand outside the motel and flag down the New York express bus that drives by every 10 mins and it costs $4 per person (cash only) which takes 15-25 mins depending on time of day and traffic. It drops you off 42nd/8th Port Authority / Times Square and the motel provides a printout of the express bus instructions in and out of Manhattan. You travel with the locals on the express bus but there is always a seat available from my xperience! The property itself is a little run down and the area is not overly exciting but there are a couple of retail parks close by providing supermarkets, cinemas, Walmart, Starbucks and several chain fast food restaurants.

Location: Located in New Jersey, there is a shuttle available for €3.50 per ride, running every 10 minutes, which takes you directly to Times Square in less than 20 minutes—very convenient. Note that it only accepts cash. Rooms: The rooms are large and spacious. Housekeeping is done daily, even if you leave the room late, and everything is very clean. The Hotel: It’s more like an older motel, but given the price, there’s really nothing to complain about. Breakfast: Breakfast is decent for the price, with bagels, cream cheese, coffee, and tea. The orange juice is good. For those who want a more substantial breakfast, there’s an ALDI five minutes away on foot and the IHOP brunch restaurant less than a 10-minute walk away. There’s also a fridge and microwave in the room.

It was out of town so I got to experience a difference side of New York on the Jersey side. The hotel was very budget friendly and didn't compromise on cleanliness and important amenities. We never used the breakfast but i wouldn't say it's much of a breakfast. Something to keep in mind especially for solo travellers and couples. Ubers to the hotel from Manhattan were around $45. We took the shuttle bus every morning for $4 per person to save money but opted for car rides on our way back. This added additional cost to our overall stay. Hotel options in Manhattan were expensive enough to justify the extra cost for our party of three but they might not be for solo travellers or couples.

Breakfast was quite good, only one selection but substantial. Coffee, tea and two types of juices any amount, Coffee available all day was a bonus. The room was clean and functional, a decent king size bed, and all amenities. Ised the microwave for tea that was relaxing and the AC both hot and cold functioned superbly as the weather went from cold to hot all the time, For commuting to Manhattan , walk along the avenue towards JFK Boulevard and take any number of buses 161 and 160 are the best. To come back use the 125 and get off at 28th & JFk. That's the only way. If you have your own car, God bless you , drive away to glory! Staff was most helpful afetr check in. Saloni Kaul

Great location for a short visit to NYC. There is a shuttle that you can flag down right in front of the lobby to get to the Port Authority Bus Terminal on 41st and 8th Ave. Cost is $3.50. Unfortunately that shuttle only runs until 10 pm but Bridget, the very helpful person at the front desk, told me the 125 bus runs from the Port Authority to about a block or so from the hotel. (Found out the cost for that was also $3.50 pp.) The room was comfortable enough. We found every staff person to be polite and helpful. Overall, we felt safe and enjoyed our stay. (And we were so happy we didn't have to drive into the city!)
